Looking for an 05 panel #28

During the many times I've taken the A,B,C, and D panels off I've tightened one of the fasteners on #28 too tight and have cracked the plastic around the silver hex-head fastener. It's the blue panel that goes around the top of the "glove department" on the left side. I've seen prices from $128 to $185 on various stealers web sites. Hate to ask if anyone has one from an accident or the like, but thought I'd check.

There are some cycle salvage part sellers on Ebay. Not sure you will find your part listed, but I would contact one of those sellers looking for your specific part. I'm sure if they don't have what your looking for, they can point you in the right direction for someone who might have your used part on the shelf.

I think that part may be ABS plastic. ABS plastic cement (for water pipes) applied to the back side of the panel should fix the cracks.

Good idea, but I should mention the pie-shaped piece that fell out from around the screw! It may still be somewhere within the dark confines of the side panel...or along some VA side road. I'll keep your suggestion in mind for future repairs if needed, but ol #28 is beyond it this time. Thanks.
