I`m planning on FINALLY doing the saddle sore 1000 on the 12th of june  I will be leaving at the Toms gas station on rt340 & rt 30. i`m planning on leaving there by 4:00 am & i`m heading down to Concord N.C then back. Just waiting on my Kuryakyn pegs & extensions to install on my wild bill peg brackets. I made sure i did my oil+filter & rear fluid 2 weeks ago , so no leaks & she is ready.

Got one question about tire pressure, as what to run psi for such a long ride.

What, you couldn't drop me a PM before you posted this? I thought we had something special, especially after that pic you sent me last Hallowe'en. Lemme see if I can free up some time on 6/12.

I would have been there for you but I am going to be in Chicago for my son's graduation from college that weekend.

A lot of people would recommend around 42 PSI in the tires. You should be able to find some tire pressure threads for justification.

Good luck on your ride. Sounds like fun. Hopefully, you'll have some decent weather.

Brian

Same pressure you normally use.

And, sadly, I'll be at a conference in Rhode Island that day or I'd have been happy to ride down and see you off. Good luck with the ride! Remember that it's for fun. If you start feeling tired or start to have trouble holding a line, take a break.

Thanks guys! & thanks for the advice. My turn around spot is 520 mi from my starting point (acording to mapquest) but will check it between my ODO & GPS.
