No way am I driving 7 hrs just to meet up with some guy from Nova Scotia...I ain't *that* homesick...
Any further word? My plans for Sunday (an organized Veteran's Ride to the USS Intrepid in NYC) have apparently been cancelled.

Right now it is Saturday night in Ellsworth and continuing south on Sunday. Planning to meet up with Sullivan sometime on Sunday.

So it looks like RI is out and this will be mostly a Maine ride? I was hoping to meet up with some other Feejr folk. Well i will still be getting out and probably heading towards Western MA. No special route just get out the map and ride. Maybe we will see some other FJR riders out there. Doesn't sound like you'll be far enough south for me to be able to make it up there. Have a great ride, enjoy the scenery and keep the shiny side up!

Beautiful Sunday and the 3 bikes are headed into Bar Harbor. Maybe they should look up Martha Stewart or someone to "do lunch" with the beautiful people.
I couldn't make it today so may find some time Tuesday? for a NH run with them.

And what a ride it was! We put on 350 miles riding from our home in Turner to Camden to meet up with Gypsy and NSrider, then all around Mt. Desert Island, home of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, back to Belfast for a great seafood dinner and then a cool ride home, arriving about 9:30. The weather was beautiful, the foliage, slightly past peak, was still awesome, and of course the company couldn't have been better.
The next afternoon, following a rainy morning, we all rode out to the mtns of western ME, stopping at Coos Canyon (Coe-Oss) and Height of Land, near Ocquossoc and Rangeley.
Tuesday morning, I took our gun deprived Canadian friends to a local shooting range and we spent a couple of fun filled hours blasting away at tin cans with a variety of weapons from a little NAA .22 deringer to an AR15. What fun it was to watch these guy flinching to full power loads in my Super Blackhawk .44 MAG!
Arlene had a nice warm lunch waiting for us at noon. Later we took off for N Conway NH, riding the scenic backroads to the Hurricane Mtn Road, a real rollercoaster of a ride on a bike, and into N Conway. We made a quick side trip up to the top of Cathedral Ledges, sheer cliffs about 700 ft high. Yes, we took the road to the top. A couple of crazy bastages were taking a short cut to the top...right up the face of the cliff!
We made the mandatory stop at Whitehorse Gear in Ctr Conway where the Canadians left some American dollars.
They were pressed for time, wanting to get to Bangor to get a bit closer to home, so I took all the shortcuts to get to dinner in Auburn asap. Gypsy signaled me to pull over. He thought I was taking him on a joy ride. He thought I was lost?
We were about 2 miles from Auburn at that point.
I guess they got some new riding inspiration while riding north at night because they rode almost to St. John, NB before calling it quits at 1AM. Their e-mails indicate that each made it home safely.
Arlene and I really enjoyed their company and it gave me a chance to do some riding I may have skipped, otherwise.
I've sent them some pics taken on the rides. Since I don't do Photobucket very well, perhaps they will post up some pics.

Charlie, thanks for sending me the pixs via email, the pixs are super! I'm sorry I couldn't make the ride, but 'homework' needed to be done.
NSrider, when you go to your Photobucket album you need to simply copy the IMG Code line, then paste it into the Forum and it will automatically post the full size picture.
