I was doing some looking on www.bestbikingroads.com and it appears as though this site never really took off. There are some routes listed on each coast and a whole lot of nothing in the midwest. I like the idea of the site though.
You might try the guys over at sport-touring.net. They are from all over the country and might know some interesting back roads and scenery.
Good call, I forgot I was registered over there too!

No go for roads in the Black Hills huh? How 'bout roads in and around Glacier Nat'l Park or possibly into central Canada?

There is some awesome roads in the Black Hills. But just very boring on the way out. You would have one full day out their. A few VERY good days of riding. Spearfish Canyon is awesome. I forget the name of the other roads. If you would like to take a honeymoon later, try coming out to CFO.

LOL, Jeana says she is willing to spend a week with me and the bike but I "best not push it". Ah well, maybe we'll have to try it for the anniversary trip!

I don't blame you for that one. We spent our Honeymoon at a cabin north of Brainerd MN. Didn't see anybody for four day. Except for going out for some meals. Have a wonderful honeymoon. Check out CFO next year where ever it happens to be. It a fun time.

You could always follow the Feasting On Asphalt River Run: clicky

He gives some suggestions of places to eat, though I'd imagine the roads aren't much to speak of.

Bryan-

Great idea...I did the same thing for mine last June. We went for two weeks, took our time and enjoyed all of the sights and cities as we went. We started in Seattle and made our way through Oregon, stopping at Crater Lake. Then through Cali, through the Redwoods, beaches, Big Sur. Then ended at Las Vegas...you can read about our whole trip by clicking the link in my signature. Hope it helps...good luck!

That would be a fantastic trip! I've really been wanting to do a west coast ride. I used to live just outside Sacramento. Unfortunately I moved without the bike as it was a short term thing. I've always wanted to get back out there on the bike and take some of the roads I had been down.
