Wow! I forget just how close to the edge these guys ride. What looks like a 2-wheeled ballet is really a group of exceptional riders who are highly focused, riding powerful machines at an incredible pace. Even a small issue (IIRC, "He just lost traction for a moment and.....") becomes rather large when plans go awry. I hope he recovers in time to race.

Look at the violence of the first helmet strike on one of the slo-mo replays... while his forearms take a goodly amount of the initial landing blow, watch his forehead SNAP down onto the tarmac.... yikes!
The second helmet strike is directly on the back of the head, smacking it on the tarmac when he flipped onto his back.
Bet he needed a couple Advil after that.... :blink:

I took this from my own TV, blue-toothed it to the computer, loaded it onto photobucket, arrived here to post it for you and it's all done and dusted!....so you're having it anyway !
By the way, the 990cc's did 215mph on the long straight....the much slower 800cc's are only doing 208mph.

I looked at the vid several times but don't really understand how he lost the rear wheel. Is it because he snapped it over too fast? Or was he on the brake?
I'd like to under this.
One thing I do understand is I never want to high side! To much vertical propelant involved there. :blink:
