Sorry to say that SANTA CRUZ Yamaha & BMW has closed :dribble: Several dealerships have closed on the CENTRAL COAST in the last couple of year's; SORRY to say :(

That's why this FORUM is so IMPORTANT to keep alive; to share our knowlege & to assist each other!

thats a good reason why I would not throw down pdp cash on a bike such as the late delivery Super-10. With so many Yamaha dealers in trouble you might not get your new bike or the cash back. Since dealers are seperate businesses from mama yamaha, when they go tango-uniform your S.O.L. .

they are dropping hard out here in the eastern part of the country.

Yeah, some people had deposits there for pre-orders on the BMW K1600GT/L. The pre-orders are safe but I don't know what happened to their actual deposits. On the other hand California law requires all deposits to be refundable; maybe that trumps bankruptcy?

With Yamaha's PDP -- your $500 deposit goes into the dealer's parts account with MamaYama (Cypress). So, the importer/distributor is involved with your deposit.

I'd like to think that -- no matter what happens to the dealer -- Yamaha knows where your money is (and, you can get it back)?

Yes... the best way to make a million dollars is to start with 2 million and open a motorcycle shop :)
