Just about now my friend John Young is on his way to Heathrow airport to drop off his IBR bike at the shippers, it will next to be seen in Seattle.

What's so special is that he has chosen a 1969 Triumph Trident.

Over the last six months most of his spare time has been spent in the garage, as of last Monday this is the amount of work he has carried out. I just hope it has not all been in vain.

I wish him well.. Hopeless class can be painfull.

WAY cool bike, I hope he makes it. Period correct fairing and bags too. I had one and loved it, including the ever present clatter (ticking?) from the valve adjusters. Wished he had enough time for a repaint.

Maybe somebody will eventually show up with a Pre-K Honda 750 for competition?

Running in the hopeless class? His spirit is admirable. Now one just has to see if the machine can last the challenge.

Yikes! I wish him the best of luck. He's going to need it.

Crazy fool - but I admire his spirit.

I've been following his build up as well...remarkable perseverance, hope he and the bike make it to the finish line!

Wishing him the best, the triples weren't to bad of a machine really. If he got rid of the stock ignition he may do OK. As I still have a Trident I'll be pulling for him.

I'm going to out there to see one of our guys off. June 20th I'll see if I can get some pictures of these guys and all their bikes and post up come the 20th.
