I have about 7,000 miles on the bike and my coolant level has always remained about the same (3/4 to 1/2 inch above min. line). Just recently the level dropped below the min. line (about 1/2 inch). Is it safe to say I have a leak or will the coolant level drop sometimes?

I'd not worry, add enough coolant to put it between the lines again, and watch it. You may find that it will then come back up after a change of seasons. I don't recall coolant use as a reported issue before or remember it remotely being an issue and unless you've done something serious to the bike you'd know about I wouldn't worry.

I am thinking its just fine. If you had a leak it would show somewhere. A couple of years ago I say two drops of coolant right below my water pump. I had a bad seal in the water pump and promptly replaced it. The coolant level was not even low. It worked out for the better because I received a coolant change from the dealer under warranty. The weather is cooling off now and that is way your coolant level probably showing a little lower. But it would not hurt to give your cooling system an inspection.

As stated above its not much but I'd check all the hose clamps and tighten as necessary....

I have the opposite problem problem , my bike keeps adding coolant to the reservoir

The system has been pressure tested and holds pressure BUT when the motor is run with the gauge on the radiator

the pressure rises , so it is pressurising the system , head gasket leak / cracked head , ( bugger )

You should get your system pressure tested
