Let's say, your 1 of your lower tripple steering stoppers broke off. How necessary would it be to purchase a new lower tripple?

U-turns seem like the time that you would be at most risk for a problem. Once the bike is moving though, it seems like you pretty much never hit a steering stopper???

Or when parking and you let the bars swing full lock (usually right) but hey...

You might repair it by bolting on about a 1/2" diameter by 3/4" long or so piece aluminum.

Drill it and tap it, and use a socket head cap screw from underneath.

Just a thought Keith. When I sold motorcycles the steering stops were the first thing we checked for. If they were missing no trade. The thought was the bike went down hard and could have hidden steering head damage. I know you would never sell her though!

I've run about a bazillion racebikes with no stops. Their main purpose is to protect your fingers/tank/bars from coming together at low speeds. They do nothing at speed.

BUT, a tweaked set means the bike was wrapped up. The formula is T=Delta C, where the amount of Tweakage equals the rate of change in Crashitude.

I think he knows the formula. . . . :)
Still perfecting it, it taks practice.... lots of practice....

I'm not sure it can be welded, It might not be regular steel, but I could always ask a welder. I think I still have the broken nob.

This FJR will ride again!!!! The most crashded bike everrrr

I'm pretty sure he's gonna tell you that it's just cast aluminum (does a magnet stick to it?), if you still have the broken tab, TIG welding it shouldn't be too big of a deal.
