Hello, Sorry about your wipe out, it is always great when others hekp you along. I am looking to get into this sport....

I hadn't ridden in so long or paid it any attentions that when someone mentioned clip-in pedals, I had no idea what they were talking about, were you using them? did you get unclipped.

I am feeling a few thumps on the chest are in order here!

I got up to 40 plus last year then went to EOM last year and haven't ridden since... I am looking forward to riding this season.

I only hope my knees do not ache the way they were while starting out last year!

Bravo my friend!

Congratulations Barry. Sorry that you had such a tough day but if you were able to finish with those obstacles, than the next will be a breeze. Are we going to recognize you at NAFO? If you have to downsize your riding gear will you stick with your now iconic bright yellow?

How come you weren't riding your new bike? I was speculating that perhaps your most recent training was on the new bike yet you wanted to be humble on the big ride day and potentially made yourself a little off kilter... but that certainly assumes a lot.

Anyway, rumor has it that you and Fairlainer will be down in San Diego Mar 2nd. Will y'all be doing any local riding?

Yeah, we are going to Phoinex to bring Smitty into town (San Diego) for the 50cc. But only if the snow on the passes clears for Smitty. Will we see you there?

As to the new Madone bicycle, it took me a while to dial it in. Also, the new ride is very agressive in its postiion as comapred to my touring canondale. It is great to have two nice bicycles. I now ride the Madone with my club- Orange Coast Velos. The touring rig should be comfortable for some double centuries. As to NAFO, I will not be there. It is unfortunate but I will live vicariously thru the reports.
