I feel like the luckiest person on earth because the father/son duo strikes again! Last year as some may remember, pops and I did a SS1 together to get dad "officially" back onto the riding scene. Ever since we finished the SS1 we had been talking about doing another LD ride except we thought we would pursue a BBG - which took place on Sat. the 22nd.

I won't get into a lot of detail about the ride except we ran from the Cincy region to Texarkana and back (had to be back for work reasons) and that we maintained a respectable pace.

1549 miles. In the midwest. And no tix. Sweet.

Most importantly I wanted to post this message because pops is 68 years young and we are making the most of our time together. If you could have seen his reaction when we completed the ride and how happy he his now all I can say is, well, priceless. I installed the Starcom (which came from Jeff! Thanks dude!) off of my wife's FJR onto dad's ST1100 so that we could talk along the way and the discussions were priceless. The whole ride was totally priceless! I wish everyone could experience something like this!

On another note, the FJR performed fantastically. I was actually sad the ride came to an end because I was totally comfortable and I felt like I could keep riding. I could really envision 2 days of this - NOTHING like Warchild...he is from a different planet !!!

Take care,

KYFJR
