Tough work day ahead, serious thoughts on mind.

0400, dark-thirty, windy, cold.

Leave 'driveway' <dirt> to 'road' <dirt>

...careful, 1" of loose slop on top, don't get sideways and toss KrZy8.

Crap, to early to be thinking this hard about two things, work and keeping vertical

First corner,

what's this falling all around me?

Can't be snow, we don't even get rain..

Brain slowly engages.

Leaves.

Oak tree leaves -

by the thousands, from a huge oak probably 80 - 100 years old.

Absolutely fascinating.

In the bright stark contrast of light and darkness provided by Clearwater lights;

Watch the snow storm of oak leaves fall.

Gently, like snowflakes, but with flutter, style.

Can't see past 50 feet so many leaves are falling.

Yeah, it was pretty damn coolio.

..the rest of my day sucked.

One of those moments that always will bring a smile to your face. You can't plan for them... they just happen !

... And the GoPro is never on either.

So cling to it with your memory bro... ... and smile!

Love your poetry, Don! Great stuff! Very evocative. Merry Christmas.
Just because he breaks it up into random patterns that evoke poetry,,, doesn't make it poetry.

Still, all in all, I did get a great theatre of the mind feeling/sense about the whole thing.

Thanks Don.

This explains why you can't follow the correct rider home.(inside joke)

What BorkerDaForker said.

Me ain't no poet - just the new Bob Dylan waiting to be discovered. https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/****.gif

..and yeah, pretty much, that's how my little CraniumScareAbelliUm processes thoughts, situations.

Kinda different, I know. Random bits of information connecting (sometimes) at random integral moments in time.

Like the InterWebs, sometimes packets are lost and or collide resulting in confusion.

..But I like confusion, it makes one think.

...and all you FJR PowerRangers look the same, Mark! It's really easy to 'loose' the right Ranger!

LOL, I had forgot about that little episode, although it was a genesis for an anti-CBA ride - that was one long day!

and Thanks for liking it, whatever it was.

It may not have been poetry but it was poetic. You actually had a tender moment there. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Zilla and Airboss may be right. If so, could you split it and deliver to my (wife's) house in South Louisiana? Pop, my son, and myself spent yesterday playing with the tractor, the chainsaws and the log splitter. This in spite of my son whining about it being Christmas Eve. We made it home in plenty of time for our party but I am sore today.
