Had my fjr for a few weeks and am coming up on the first 4000mile interval as per the owners manual, my question for you experienced folks is how religiously do you have to follow this schedule? This could get real spendy over the life of the bike, oil and filter mileage, injection sync. how often in the real world?

That's why I and many others do it ourselves. Far cheaper, you build a knowledge of the bike, and sure it gets done....with only yourself accountable. I generally choose 5K at FJR1300.info site that's easier to remember.

If you do less or different....you have to accept the impact to your karma.

I'm a complete dud for wrenching, but I can do engine oil and final drive gear oil change and accomplished air filter check and change of sparkplugs today :yahoo:
