Here's some fodder for y'all to bust me on...

But had these been on a couple of weeks ago, I wouldn't have to look at that nasty 3" long scratch on the left case lid...

Mmmh....

How 'bout an open-crotch cover on the radiator, TWN? :D :D :D

...and what is it I spy FWD of your RH side case?

A gay-ass red knob? :p

Stef

I know, but I couldn't steel Mr. Castanza's label, now could I? Lifts, separates and pushes up! Only problem is when it gets cold, they don't hide the nipples very well. It becomes a bit embarrassing...

Hey! I think you're on to thumthin, you big thilly gooth, you!

Actually, I don't recall that I had an option on the color of the adjustment knob. Otherwise, I would have gone full boat and ordered the fuchsia!

When I first saw the idea, it was intriguing... Now that I've seen it implemented, it isn't quite what I'm looking for. I think I'd be more inclined to get a set if they covered the entire bag... and I can't for the life of my figure out why they didn't. The rubber bumper looks offset in the opening the way it is now.

Groo,

The instructions call for the label to be at the back of the bag. After sitting with these a while, I think that direction is wrong. That's why the bra covers the bumper a bit.

The reason that the bra does not cover the whole bag is due to the reflector (I took mine off). I think having to place a hole for the reflector v. the variance on the fitment had a lot to do with it.

I purchased a set of those case protectors from Sargent and found they did interfere with closing the case. It appears the problem is the plastic strip stands out about 1/16 th of an inch so the latches cannot fully engage. Also, the stitching on one of them was unravelling as I was trying to put it on. I read the directions thouroghly and believe I was installing them correctly (this ain't rocket science). I have decided to return them, as much for the QC issues as the fit. Anything peculiar about the installation, or did I just get a bad pair?

IMO, com, you've not installed them correctly. Are you sure the plastic rib is sitting flat in the groove? Mine is and I have no issues with closing the lid. As for the stitching - shouldn't happen and I would send 'em back, too.

Tank cover is made by Bagster, a French company. You can get them from bikejohhny.com, a British company with the most excellent service. Don't try and source from the American distributor. They never have them and the service leaves a lot to be desired...

The plastic tabs were correctly installed between the inner and outer case. The plastic strip that runs the length of the cover looked like it needed to also go between the inner and outer case, but that is not what the instructions called for. I tired to put it between the two, but it looked like it would extremely difficult, if not impossible, because the neoprene would also get shoved in and that would still prevent the latches from mating correctly. Regardless, I am returning them due to the quality issues. I will look around for alternatives (although I doubt there are any) or maybe this is a business opportunity for me to develop some that are more attractive and easier to install.

Thanks for the info on the bra. Is the the tank bag from the same place?

Yes, it is a system. The bag clips to the tank cover - easy on, easy off.

And if you do decide to make your own side case covers, let us know!

Hey, what color is your tank cover and bag. I don't see a Galaxy blue option...

Thanks

Ah, nevermind I see they intend the dark blue for the galaxy blue..
