Manchester United beat Barcelona 1-0 in the second leg of the semi final last night. They now face either Liverpool or Chelsea who play tonight. It will be the first all English final in the history of the championship. It's recognised as the greatest club competition in the world and has only been won by United twice.
The irony is that if they play Liverpool, who's ground is 38 miles from United's or even Chelsea who play roughly 200 miles from United, they will have to fly to Moscow to play in the final.
Why Russia is the venue for a European Championship final I don't know.
It's 3 weeks today. A great day for British soccer......except that the teams comprise of mainly foreigners and there will only be 5 or 6 English players out there regardless of which teams play.
