Study: Marriage is good for men

Associated with a longer life and reduced stressAmanda Wawryk Dec 09, 2010 07:49:33 AM

"VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - A study outlining the benefits of marriage for men says it can reduce stress, help you live longer and make you more social.

Those are just a few of the reasons researchers reckon you should rush down the aisle instead of running a mile. Psychologists in Michigan found a stable and surviving marriage is associated with a longer life and reduced stress.

Married men are also less likely to be aggressive or binge drink. It seems it's good for mental health, too. Men with a ring have a reduced risk of depression."
What they didn't mention is that married men are more willing to die.

Obviously, they HAVE met my ex. :dribble:
Yo, Barb, no need to go to extremes. Just teach them Spanish. Start with the "A" words...the little ones: ADIOS!

of course, the recovery may take a lifetime and erasing the nagging, insulting voices a little longer.

LMAO!

sadly, it's not just men who want to chew their arm off as if in a leg-hold trap to get away from a spouse.

BTDT, got the Tshirt

Fixed it for you. Thinking something is wrong with the report on this research as originally reported here. Maybe if it more accurately reported the critical variables, the conclusions would be less controversial. :p

What was the old line?

If it flies, f*ks, or floats,

you're better off renting.

My Ex used to give me lots of freedom. Hell, I was allowed to wash the dishes any damned way I wanted to.
