I guess that puts me in the whipper snapper category being 34.

I enjoy the speed. I wish she was a little faster. This weekend, I was running with 1000RRs, R1s, GSXRs and some 600s. I am the "station wagon" of the group. We had a rider go down a couple weeks ago and I was the transport vehicle. That being said, I am getting much faster and I am now in the front of the mid group or the back of the fast group. It depends on the roads.

I find riding with these guys is making me a better rider. I am certainly better than I was riding alone... That, and my first track day... nothing like dragging pegs..

45-year-old kid here < he he>. This is my first Yamaha, so obviously first FJR. Have had many bikes before, from a VFR to a GL1800, and some fast ones like Hayabusa and XX. And even a Valkyrie cruiser. I'm down to just one bike due to not having much time to ride. The FJR, which is replacing my best bike so far: an '03 BMW K1200RS. Will know if it handles better in a day or two, when I take it to the mountains. Looking forward to many happy years of ownership.

See you down the road, old farts < lol>.

46 years old and trying to figure out a way to retire early so I can have more cycle time! The nice thing is about retiring is that I will be able to be a "modern day" circuit rider on the FJR! :D

49 and some change. Been riding my whole life. SWMBO & I love touring, on back roads. A 200-300 mile day of than on my Road King is like 'rasslin a bear, borderline not fun. Wanted something a little more nimble. Believe I've found her!

You guys are making me feel old. I think I'll check into some 600cc crotch rocket forum. Their average demographic has got to be 20 - 30 years younger than you old farts!

If you check out the 650 Ninja forum, you're going to feel old. I take a meander around there now and again and muse on the contrast between the two forums. It's almost like father and son! There was a thread about what one listens to on the I-pod while riding. Of all the music listed, there was only one artist who I'd ever heard of. The person who posted that name took some ribbing for it too.

Some of the kiddy-type comments are funny too. I mean........ they don't have the 'maturity' of the members of this forum.

(.....and if you believe that there is ANY maturity on THIS forum, please check out the welcome messages for JWAD. You'll soon be cured of any illusions thereof).

35, and for all intents, this is my first bike. I don't count the 84 Honda Shadow 500 that I had for the summer of 1991.
