If anyone wants-in, DO it - I'd be happy to make the motel arrangements near Shawinigan
Looks tasty Andre! Let me talk to my bud Mike about you giving us a tour - I don't think their will be any problem at all. The plan was to ride to Shawinagin spend the night, and then do the park the next day. Mike and his brother are heading back to Ottawa that day. I've booked the entire week off and am looking at riding up 138 to Ste. Simeon, the up around Lac St. Jean, then back home. At the very least I'll be doing Maurice, the rest depends on how my mom is doing.

/me looks at Pierre.. you retired now! Whats your excuse!

whoa there horsey! i'm cottaging with family jul19-aug9; they wont let me go anywhere overnite but the riding is great around denbigh! I've done most of the route suggested (except 125) and more up and down the Saguenay. AND I'd do it again anytime when I'm free. Change your darn dates! :)

lol, the 125 is the most boring part of the trip, although you only ride it from the top of the 329 down to the 347 for ~10 minutes. But it does pass right beside that that track I went to yesterday... little pit-stop on the itinerary perhaps? ;)

Checked out your photo's. Nice! I'm just funnin' with you, though you would've been more than welcome to tag along. Family first and we'll most likely see you soon.

Don't let Pierre fool you...he's hiding behind family...and jes doesn't wanna ride with ya. Take off ya hoser.

Little update, looks like FJRRob is in. Looks like he and I are gonna camp it. Mike and his brother are still in need of a hotel in Shawinigan or thereabouts.

Talked to my buddy Mike, he's got no problem whatsover with you tagging along Andre. In fact, most welcome - its always better to let somebody who knows the roads plan and tag along.

Did you (Andre) want to run up to Carleton Place or did you want to meet somewhere along the way?

Would you consider me a snob for asking if it's cool if I was just waiting for you at the big restaurant / bike meeting place in montebello at the bottom of the 323?

I'll be the guy on the FJR;)

No, no problem at all. Any recommendations for a hotel in Shawinigan? I'll PM you my cell info.

Were pulling out for the trip on Friday morning. In case you want to track us:

Quebec Trip Spot Track

We've extended the trip somewhat and after Mauricie Ntl Parc, were heading east to Quebec City and then Baie Saint Paul or Saint Simeon. North through the Saguenays to Chicoutimi, then south back to the park and on home.

You have to expect a lot of trafic on Sunday, since this will be the last day of the <<construction vacations>> !

We have about 250000 peoples working in the construction that end their vacationthat day.

this may be true but the routes we're taking aren't the ones that will be clogged-up with cottage-country traffic (except the actual locals). I wouldn't want to be on the 15, come sunday! But this entire route is non-slab. I'm more worried about traffic IN the park at Mauricie.

Besides, were going right by the park on the return trip down 155. Nothing saying we can't run the park again when everybodies back at work :yahoo:

Update: Got an email from Rob, no official word whether he can make it or not. He says 'if he shows on Friday night, he's going!' He's got the address in CP.
