Meaning of Claim Number for '06 FJR

I have the claim number from the dealer where my '06 FJR was ordered. Is there any way I can check on my bike along the way without bothering the dealer. I was at the dealer today and there was nothing on his computer about delivery yet. Can I tell the position of my bike in the delivery lineup by the claim number?

Claim number? Wow, your dealer has a coat check? Cool!

In my case, I ordered my '05 the first day of the PDP. I was fourth at my dealer to do so and I placed the order by noon. That was Feb. 6th, IIRC. My bike arrived late August. Now I know others ordered way after me and got their bikes way before me. I wouldn't make book until your dealer calls to tell you to come and get 'er.

Sometimes the dealers don't even know, even those who check their computer daily. My dealer never promised anything until he received the warranty/owner packet for that particular bike...then he knew the bike was on its way and could hope for a week or so. Maybe Cypress has "tightened up" the channels some, but if not, be patient, Grasshopper, all good things will come in their own time.

Remember, most of us have BTDT, and we know there is no easy answer, no crystal ball, no seer or prophet who will have more information.
