Had another thought...

In the spirit of the FJR forum you could always try a do it yourself fix. You will need:

1 pint of Jack Daniels

Large bucket of water

16 guage jumper cables

2 excedrin

bacitracin ointment and 2 circular band-aids

procedure:

1. drink Jack Daniels

2. Attach cable to FJR battery

3. Step into bucket

4. Attach cables to nipples- remember "red on right, black on left". (Remove any ornamental nipple jewelerly first).Might want to have the bike running and a friend to goose the throttle in case you need a bit more current.

5. When you regain consciousness, take excedrin and apply bacitracin to nipples(there might be some arc burns). Cover with band aid

this way you avoid all the annoying hospital paperwork and insurance copay. Not sure if this would void your waranty, though.

Good luck, god bless.

I like it. Do you have any personal experience?? I think more than a pint would be needed because you need some for the recovery period.

All went well this morning and the doc says wait and see if the problem comes back or not. I guess is a number of cases it returns but its not the end of the world. Time to ride cause the weather finaly is nice.

Glad all went well! You're right, get out there and go! Just remember, if your doctor put you on any blood thinners such as Coumadin or Plavix that you are more at risk for bleeding in the event of a unplanned get off. Any unusual symptoms should not be ignored, even if they seem mild, and should be reported to your cardiologist ASAP. This includes general weakness/fatigue, shortness of breath, dizziness, palpitations, or anything like that. Again, glad all went well and those jumper cables worked! Have the pint, anyway!

Glad all went well. However I'm suprised that you had to have a proceedure done. Must be because of the CHF??I've got bad A-fib potential (Mom has it, had a stroke because of it but she's 85) but it's all controlled with drugs. Granted, I take a handfull (high colesterol and high blood pressure too, as my doc said once, I need to pick better parents next time around) but they seem to do the trick. Sometimes I have an event, usually after I've been stupid and party like a rock star, but they generally don't last more that 4-12 hours. Just feel tired and ****** for that time.

Keep us posted on how you're doing. Stay well!!

Great news ! A dose of mileage should be just about the right prescription . . . :good:
