Mike, without catching hell, can I please ask why the start time is so late in the day. The sun is up at 5:30 for cryingoutloud!

The morning is cool and peaceful. The cage folks are still sleeping. Traffic is lighter. The roads are dry.

The light (in case you're gonna take pics) is beautiful.

I know that some participants have to ride a bit to get there, but geez, that's part of the adventure. And I know that JB

is a morning person.

Just wondering,... and ready to be slapped down.

That is all.

Personally, I'd meet @ 0800 and leave @ 0830. I don't know what the consensus is for that time. If everyone would like to meet earlier....I up for that. It just means JB has to leave home @ 0700 or earlier. OF course, the CHP will be on coffee break, so he could make better time.....

That, and its supposed to rain in Markleeville Sat. night and I thought it would give the roads on Carson Monitor and Ebbetts passes plenty of time to dry.....

I am coming from near Roseville but can make it Jackson whenever. I like the later starting time as the weather looks good. Chance of Snow around Lake Tahoe and a 40% chance of thunderstorms but you can never believe the weather folks anyways. Looking forward to meeting the rest of you guys in Jackson Saturday.

I don't think I can tape me taking my wife out to dinner or such...She's been a good sport and let me go out and play a lot lately. Since she will be out of town till Sunday I think I had better plan something for the two of us....or the will be two of us?

Have fun..Keep Old Michael in line. He needs strict supervision and make sure he is taking his med's!!!

I'm in, maybe Terri too.

See y'all at Starbucks in Jackson.

Sunday morning, kickstands up at 10:00am, correct?

How about the new Starbucks on the south end of town?
I like the 10;00 start time.

It gives me time to get the little woman packed up and on the road for the 94 mile ride to Jackson.

See you all at Starbucks

It looks like a 440 mile day.

Maybe I should think about changing that front tire. :dirol:

I don't see this ride as a 10AM start time. I see it as a 7AM start time, with a rendezvous for continued riding at 10AM. So, Old Michael, bite me! :p

Hycle, for an extra 18 simple miles, wanna meet in Rio Vista? Avoid the greater Sackatomatoes metro area? Same invitation to you O.M., since you've got a git in your giddy-up and wanna ride early and far. Or hell, just meet me for coffee in Concord, by way of Monterey....

Silent, you in? We can once again exchange incomprehensible communications on our two-way radios.

We're not meeting at 10:00 AM. We're riding at 10:00 AM. I went to the original post and emboldened the original posting.

I suggest you all adjust your travel plans accordingly....or bring your maps...or plan to meet me in Pioneer after I ride the "yee-freakin'-haw" Hwy 26 loop and poke out onto Hwy 88 East....or meet me at the Carson Pass visitors center (a great photo op for Old Michael)....

At 10:00 AM there will be two vacant parking spaces where madmike2 and Old Michael were parked waiting for everyone.

Exactamundo, which is a presumption built into the "leave" time in order to get to the rendezvous in time to give everyone the benefit of getting to visit with me.... :D

And won't we be the better for that time squandered spent in your presence.

Perhaps your humility is contagious. ;)

Oh gawd....
Did Michael just call you gawd? We WILL be in the presence of greatness! And graced by your participation. :D

No can do. It looks like I'm stuck doing a ton of work around the house this weekend. Sorry Hans, you'll just have to exchange one sided radio communications with Hycle instead.
