consider the local Goldwing Assoc/Club...they let anyone in, ya know...local ride to eats twice a week is the normHello all. My husband really loves browsing this forum and gets a lot of valuable info as well as great stories and a lot of laughs. I particularly enjoyed seeing the global community make fun of the guy who drilled a hole through his bikes "motherboard" or whatever it is called in a bike.
But guys - he spends way too much time online with you and no time actually riding his bike. I think if he had riding buddies he might get out more which would help both of us be happier people!
Anyone who lives in the Rockville, Maryland area and thinks they might want to be Keith's friend can email me at [email protected]. Oh, and feel free to make fun of him for this post. I have been telling him for months that I was going to do it if he didn't look for some riding buddies on his own.
Thanks!
Helen
Plus one. My wife is my riding buddy. She rides a Harley so I have to stop and wait for her once in awhile. But we have great fun riding together.Well said Helen, too far away from TX for me.However with all been said, I ride a sport tourer, and haven't ridden with another sport tourer ever-even though I would enjoy it. And I will soon surely; hopefully with the SFO coming up. But, my wife rides her honda aero, and I totally enjoy that. We have bonded on a different level since she caught the fever, got her license, bought a bike and started riding...we have tremendous fun when we ride. We even went on a long weekend anniversary ride-trip which was totally awesome, 200 miles away and back. We have been fortunate enough to go on riding trip with other MC riding couples.
I say that to say this; You are his friend already in one aspect, until he finds a riding group--you could be in his riding group and join a prestigious brotherhood-sisterhood of the 2-wheel fraternity.
Just a thought.
Good luck to ya, and good luck to Daddyman with the onslaught of comments headed his way.
Even better - Helen, get yourself a motorcycle, learn to ride and *you* can be his riding buddy!

Just take the keys and ride the FJR, Helen. If you had the cojones to post something like that here, on a Friday, you'll have no trouble riding the bike.
