I just happened to notice that alot of the pics of '06's show them with Metzlers....any particular reason mine came through with Bridgestones?

You long distance guys have a preference of one over another?

Both brands are OEM, your are blessed with 020's. I've had them both and have my own opinions. Monitor your tire pressures. Bridgestone fronts tend to "cup" rather badly after about 3.5K and that is excaerbated by low tire pressures. Most L.D.ers run 40+ (42 being the inflation for the best mileage).

Avons are the current favorite among the L.D. riders. Great tire, terrific turn in and mid-corner line adjustability, excellent wear mileage.

I have had Avons, Pilot Roads and am now trying Pirelli Stradas. For my riding style, Avons and Michelins P.R.s "feel" about the same on turn in, etc.

BikeEffects says, "Tires are an expendable commodity, why not try them all?" :D
