This blurb is from a guy in the UK that posted this on the Aprilia forum.
Those who were on the Mini Northern Hoon this weekend will have seen that my front 2CT was worn down to the wear limits and was so worn that it was triangular as opposed to domed; this after 2 track days and the North West 200 trip! Anyway, I went down to https://www.fwr.co.uk/contact.htm and they found that my tyre was subject to the recall, but seeing as Michelin are currently withdrawing 68,000 2CTs from the shelves there are none available. However, they fitted a new Pilot Power for FREE, gratis, for nowt! Happy Days! [banana]
The problem with the recalled tyres is that there is concern that at sustained speeds in excess of 120mph the tyre could de-laminate (as happened to Valentino! [Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)] ).
Check your tyres against the codes and be wary of e-bay bargain 2CTs for a while....
