This mess started in April after my fall down and I rode the bike in from Freeport right to the shop. First thing I told them was that I was going to try and do this without going through my insurance since it seems my insurer likes to jack my rates if I breathe to heavy. I told them to check it over, especially the steering because it felt a little off. Give me a complete quote and we go from there. It was looking good to me when I got it. It was about $1100 with the bulk of it for new exhaust because of a small dent and the scrapping on the bottom of the left can. Well I figured I could live with that dent, its small and it will be my reminder. That knocked about $600 off. They said the steering was fine. So i gave them the go ahead. It was finished a few days later than promised. Always something about waiting for a part etc. So I pick up the bike and being in a rush rode it home. Everything seemed ok until I got home. The small rubber bumper for the hardcase to rest on was missing. So i called them right up (this being about 10 minutes after I left) and the first thing he ask me was "Are you sure it didn't fall off?". I told him if it had it was because he didn't put it on right in the first place because the right side is still there as it always has been. Well 4 weeks later I finally get the part after bitching. Reason being was because no one could get the part number. Since I checked websites and saw the same thing I understood it may have been a problem and let it go. Well I decided to ride to work one night and the bike was very slightly pulling to the left. Thats when I asked the forum about that and received suggestions and they seemed to work. Everything was fine again or so I thought. A few days later on my way to work I noticed the fork was leaking so I took it in. They said it would be fixed and I asked if was it covered under the YES program. They told me that it was so that was even better. The bike would be ready that night or the next day. Sweet! After not getting a call 2 days later I called in. The service manager says that they found the inner tube very slightly bent and we can amend my insurance claim to cover this. Man I about lost it. I told him that when I brought it in I told him to pay attention to the steering and because it was ok I didn't file a claim. So now an inner tube is going to cost me $158. Fine, **** it. In for a penny, in for a pound I say, so I tell him to do it and was told it would be ready that night Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Well Wednesday I call and now I'm told the ever so slightly bent tube is bent enough to **** the bushings so they can't get it out. They also didn't have the tool to remove the lower bushing. Now I might need a lower tube also If they can't get it out without damaging it. But he will give it to me at "cost" since it was something they missed at the beginning. He will call me Saturday around noon and let me know how it went. Well Saturday noon comes along and feeling restless I decide to get the Russian lead sled out and go for a ride. So I stop in to check. Guess what? "Oh we haven't had it in yet. Saturday mornings are so busy." I just nodded at his spiel and had to walk. Me exploding isn't a nice sight. So it is now Saturday evening and they are closed and I thought they were open to 8. My bad. Guess this story will be continued Monday since they didn't bother to call again and let me know whats up.
