Today I've crossed the 1,000 mile mark on the new bike. I know, a small baby step for most, but this is since the crash. The doctor said I would still be in pain and no shape to ride through September. HA!! :yahoo:

Mostly, I'm loving it! 'Cept for that clutch. It's a bit like an on/off switch. It's taking a bit of getting used to. But, I love the size, weight, and handling. Looking forward to seeing how it does on a trip.

This makes it easier to clutch...ask Jeff at bikeeffects.com for the AN-641 - no, it doesn't really effect the throw length, but allows you to adjust the lever to a position where you have finer control

How about replacing the Gen II Clutch Slave Cylinder with a 2005 Gen I version.

Doing this to my 06 on Thursday.

But that is interesting nontheless....

Scab, I'm happy to hear that you are out putting some miles on. My SO has an FZ6 that I 'steal' once in awhile. It is a fun, light, comfy bike that is easy to ride and can keep up with my FJR in most situations. We are going to put hard luggage on it and make a mini FJR out of it. BTW take your time with a TBS and you can get a lot of the buzz out of it.

For mileage, we have found that her 19 litre tank goes about as far as my 26 litre FJR tank. We usually need fuel about the same time.

It's old school - cable type.

It is definately a million times different. Which is not neccessarily better, but it is good. I'm liking this thing.
