For those of you keeping track, and those of you who aren't, the dutiful "million mile challenge" riders have currently posted up over 430,000 miles. Pretty damned impressive, particularly considering that there are about 20 board members who regularly send in miles. If you haven't checked out the thread, it has nothing to do with Iron Butt or an official anything. The idea behind it came from some other forums I subscribe to that have threads called "What did you do on your xxxxx bike today?"
With NAFO coming up, the log will easily go over the 500,000 mile mark if everyone going posts their miles. That would be kind of cool.
Also, for those of you who posted once or twice and then . . . and then . . . what happened? You sell your bike? Come on back!
Finally, anyone who blew off the thread at the beginning and now feel like you can't play. Balderdash! It's not a contest. It's not anything other than a place to twitter a note about what you did on your mighty blue/silver/whatever that red color is called/black stead. Guess at what you've ridden so far this year if that matters. Or just start with your next ride.
If for some reason you find it challenging to type in all the letters, you can follow this link to the thread "Million Mile Challenge."
