Did you notice the time lapse counter at the lower left corner?I timed 12 seconds TDC to TDC. Suppose this engine is idling, that would put it about 1/200th actual speed. Look at the vibration in the picture, and think about that (at least) 200 times faster! Granted, it's some kind of tiny optical pickup feeding the camera, but still. . . .

You mean those fuzzy pixels that go through a repeating blur? I see a 1 come up as the leading digit once in a while, can't make out anything else. If it's a frame counter, it's not a time count if we don't know the fps.Did you notice the time lapse counter at the lower left corner?I timed 12 seconds TDC to TDC. brings to mind the flame front explanation by jestal...I always expected more of an explosion rather than a burn of the fuel. Granted, sped up, it may well be an explosion.
Funny, that's more or less what I thought when they explained the facts of life to me....you know, the bees and the birds etc.initial thought.. how crude a system, metal valves slapping seats, sparking a fire like cavemen did... there has to be a better, more efficient way..
Let us know when you figure out cold fusion. :dribble:initial thought.. how crude a system, metal valves slapping seats, sparking a fire like cavemen did... there has to be a better, more efficient way..
