Bill, I remember the first FJR ride I did with you back in the fall of 2004.

You drove all the way from Mass for the Port Jarvis ride while I drove down

and spent the night at a motel(got to meet his+her FJR, and Mal). Next time

you were at the 2005 EOM in Tenn. "You can do a 1K ride with no problem."

Its way, way, less complicated if you don't try for the bonus points. I wonder

how many people who didn't finish the MM1K blew too much time looking for

points and didn't finish the ride in the 24hrs.

You know I was looking to see if I could do the Canada bonus with the SS1k ride. If I'm still talking about doing something stupid like that the day of the rally please slap me upside the head

I should just do the ride and maybe get some syrup eh? I don't want a DNF!

Bill, I also posted the MM1K on the old FJR Forum too. Its sad to

see that site these days. I'm going with the CRVBMW to the NYC

motorcycle show on Friday. We will be meeting at the BMW display

at 2:30 pm. I'm doing a club ride to OCC this spring also. Also plan

to do a New England Sport Touring ride to in 2007.

I'm glued to my desk 7days/nights til tax season is over so no bike shows for me. I hope we can get a ride together with New England Sport Touring.

Hey you left out MM1K!!! Did you ride down any dirt roads on last years MM1K? SR58?

OCC area is one of my favorite areas to ride, but I've never seen their shop. That sounds like fun.

Well back to the coal mine, I mean doing tax returns

No, we took the route the MM1K guys said that didn't have dirt roads.

If I had a 1150GS, I'd have taken them. Good luck with the taxes.

Does the IRS have a FJR deduction?

Does the IRS have a FJR deduction?
Hmmm let me look.

NO

Having fun takes away any deductions with the IRS!

Seriously the business deduction this year is 48.5 cents per mile. That actually sounds almost right with the FJR. I think mine costs me about 53 cents per mile with farkles. I avoid city riding so I never use the bike for work. The bike ruins the boring accountant look too!

Bill, I should have the plans on the OCC ride

done by next month. Hope to see some members

of the New England Sport Riders also. May

also due a MotoMarket Ride this year too!

Rally is over, I get to change my signature - Yahooo!

A lot of FJR's at the rally. Our own CanadianFjr took the top spot of the SS1K riders for points for the second year in a row, and with no GPS!

I finished 3 hours early even after loosing some time following my GPS on a wild loop in the NH mountains, which probably would have been fun if I was not pressed for time, and it wasn't pouring out, and the if the road was paved or graded.

My ride would have taken 18 hours without bonus hunting or getting lost :dribble:

At the intro meeting the Rallybastard said 18 hours is about the average for this SS1K route.

Great to meet you Bill and all the other FJR folks at the MM1K. It was very neat for me to see so many '03 models (the fast ones). I left after the awards and rolled home shortly after midnight. Time to clean my bike.

Did anyone get any good pics?

I got home just after 12 too, 12 noon! I can't believe you rode straight home after this! Wow!
