I was searching for specific gear. I decided to contact the owner of Misha Cycles (Cougar8000) for pricing & to see if he could find the jacket that I was looking for that was recently discontinued. I know there are some floating about.

I'd always heard that he was fair, had good contacts & provided outstanding customer service... besides the fact that he's one of our own, so I gave him a try.

I contacted Alex on 6/14, told him what I was looking for. He promptly responded to me that he'd take a look to see what he could find.

I waited several days to hear back from him. Finally on June 20th I decided to try contacting him. I received a message from him the same day that he'd looked 2 days prior & did not find anything... but did not look the day before because he had a migraine. That left me wondering why he didn't look days before that since I'd originally contacted him on the 14th.

He did tell me that he'd search that particular day & would get back to me that evening.

He did not get back with me... that was on the 20th... so, the next day I went online, found gear that I would settle for & bought it. Sliders 3 Season Kevlar pants & jacket.

Customer service wasn't even close to what I'd expected & I will never be gracing his virtual front step, again. Not only did he lose the potential sale, he lost a potential customer.

He's been struggling with them rotten headaches lately, as you might guess. He bent over backwards more than once to help me out just recently. Great guy, and it's true, he provides great service. However, being a smaller operation, he can't just hand his business off to another when he's under the weather like this. You're a respected member on this forum and as always, we appreciate your feedback, Luvtoride, but let's keep Alex in our thoughts and prayers and maybe try to reserve our judgements right now, until he gets back on his feet.

Alex is not a member of this forum and so will not be able to explain what occurred between you and his shop here. It's a little unfair for him not to be able to respond.

Alex's shop is a small business and sometimes there are glitches. He is a solid guy and extremely hard working. I can tell you that I have never had a problem with him. He has gone out of his way to deliver things to my house personally. I don't doubt you may have a had a problem with him but I can tell you from personal experience there must have been extenuating circumstances on his part. I'm sure he would be willing to make it up to you.

I am certainly glad to hear that you did not have anything negative to say about the product that he sells or the quality of service after the sale, I am sorry to hear that you feel like you were neglected as a customer, I know how it can be when I want to make a purchase, I want a fast - smooth transaction also.

With that said I can personally say that I have made several purchases from Misha Cycles ranging from less than $40 to several hundred dollar single purchases and I have never had anything but good experiences from my purchases with Misha Cycles. Unfortunately, he is not able to respond to this thread on this forum but I look forward to seeing how he will respond, hopefully he will be able to work hard and regain your patronage down the line.

I guess I need to be clear about something. I did not make this post to get his feedback. I wrote this so other people know what they might expect.

Also to be noted... this same post was put on the fjriders forum in case he has something to say. Imo... I don't feel that he has a leg to stand on.

As to the headaches... I originally contacted him on the 14th. There was no return contact until I initiated it on the 20th. I'm not an unreasonable person. If he was having issues he should've contacted me. This was a 6 day lapse of no contact & then failed to contact me after promising to be in touch.

I am also wishing him well. I'm not wishing sickness on him at all. That would be silly to do. I hope he's ok if that is the case. Personally, I won't be dealing with him again.
