Christmas is coming so I splurged and got one of the new gold anodized metal plaques from Steve Chalmers. Steve was great to work with and the plaque arrived within 4 days of ordering. They're a bit bigger than the paper cert at 10 X 12 inches and very impressive. :good:

Here's the link again in case your interested in ordering one.

btw...that's the very first Mississippi River certificate issued by the IBA. :) Here's my ride report for anyone interested. It was a fun and challenging ride. If your considering a BBG or BB1500 and want a challenge I'd highly recommend it.

I saw that no -one had done that ride and was eyeballing it for the spring :****:

Thanks Fencer, but don't let that stop you. You'd be in a very small group if you complete it. Or you could do the regular 36 hour version and be the first! Either way, when your done come on over to Duluth and I'll buy the first round. :)

Sounds amazing to my candy ass............
Congratulations!
Not that amazing. Just like anything else in life, start slow and gradually build up your endurance. Anyone on this list, barring physical restrictions, could do this ride with the proper preparation. Even dcarver.

Outstanding accomplishment, especially given the conditions. Great ride report, too! Congrats!

Nice plaque! 1,612 miles in 24 hours is amazing. :thumbsupsmiley:

Where did you see it listed ? When I go to the IBA website it's just the same old rides. If you search through the rides ridden, you find a lot of rides that aren't listed anywhere else. What am I missing ?

David,

If you look at the large database of Certified IBA Rides:

https://www.ironbutt.com/rides/rideslogin.cfm

and scroll down you will see:
