Mix it or Visual Alert for Radar

The post was a little misleading and does sound like I was asking opinions, so I'm glad to hear what everyone has to say anyway!

BUT...

I was posting to try to buy one. I do use my Ipod a lot when I ride, and I have soft molded ear buds that fit in my ear and block wind noise. That would probably make the screamer not a good option. I like the visual alert too, but am worried that I would end up looking at it, instead of looking at the road, and well, I've already had my share of crashes.

I don't really want to buy an autocom, or startcom just because I don't really need it. I never use my audio on the gps, my phone is an old peice of shit, and I don't do 2 up riding anymore.

That leaves the mix it. That is the best option for me, but if anyone has a visual alert, I'd buy that too to try it.

Got a passport X50. Want to hook it up either to the headphones or using a visual alert. Let me know if anyone has either of those.

Yes!!! Figure my luck was running out. It's been like 2 years without a ticket, (not that I speed or anything) and we got lucky on that one! I think that's my last freebie. Time to take proactive measures!

Yep, I'm shopping detectors pretty hard right now. Not having much luck though, I'm just too much of a tightwad.
