In the world of advanced trivia that this forum can engender, I learned something today. And that something is nothing.
I just took delivery Saturday of a 2014 FJR 1300A. On the manufacturer's certificate of origin, the model code designation is FJR13AER.
What, I wondered, does the ER mean? A call to the home office took me to a product specialist who looked up the VIN and who told me it means that the unit is simply a non-ES unit 48 state compliant. I asked what does the "ER" mean or refer to. He said it means and refers to "nothing" other than the fact that the unit is not an electronic suspension model for which ES stands.
So ER means nothing other than it is not an ES.
That is all.
