Just wondering if anyone has installed this kit. My question isn't so much for the kit it's the Aux switch. I ordered it and told then what type of bike and the FJR doesn't really have stock bars like the average bike. So the switch looks like a waste of money to me?

Hate to see the average do it yourself guy that gets this kit and see's all the wiring etc lol. No directions and just a box full of parts. They look like quality lights, like I said the average guy might be overwhelmed.

Any Ideas or pic on the switch...appreciate it.

Thank you in advance

Jeff

The switch is small, pear shaped and has 3M double sided tape on the back. It has a Red LED for "Off" and a Green LED for "On". I stuck it to the back side of the front brake fluid reservoir. It blended in nicely right there.

I suppose I am an "above average" guy since I followed the instructions that came in the box and went to the MondoMoto website where I printed the very simple and easy to follow installation instructions.

I would take a pic of the installation but the bike is at Dad's house and he is here eating BBQ chicken.

My switch is for a handle bar,,,not unless your saying you removed the clamp from be hind it. My point was there are no directions. I don't need them I own a large auto facility..no biggy. I was under the impression it was a direct fit and it's not...maybe if I move the lever assy.

My switch had no clamp. It's about 1/2 inch by 3/4 inch and flat on the back. It came with the MM10 LED bullet lights and the only bike specific kit they named was the Triumph Tiger. It was a very nice all inclusive kit and was a breeze to install. We may be discussing two different sets of lights though. I actually installed a set on the FJR and the ST1300. I love them.

Guess your order was placed on a Monday ...because as I dig deeper I have no lighted flat switch. So not only does the Aux switch not fit and there was no mention of only fits ...Triumph Tigers or bikes with bars (Aux switch). Well, guess I can go and wire it up and either hit Radio Shack or see how good there customer service is and hope I can finish before leaving on my trip next week.

I had to call them because of a foul up trying to place my order on the website. It was actually my fault, not theirs. They were super nice. It is a husband and wife team running the business. Both of my kits were neatly packaged, the parts were all there and everything was of very good quality.

Ya didnt work that way for me. Ended up buying a switch from radio shack. Just didn't have great luck, I hope they change there web site so it's more clearer that if you order an optional switch you do not get the switch that comes with the unit. It's either or but not both. guess it should say $$$ with switch A and $$$ with switch B

Did we order the same lights? I got the MM10 bullet LEDs and the options were limited. There was only the one surface mount switch with the kit. There was a "model specific" kit for the Tiger 800 and the Kawasaki Versys. The kit was $135 and it came with an excellent wiring harness, the switch, the relay, the fuse and fuse block assembly, the two lights, the stainless brackets and bolts. There were even zip-ties. Everything was top notch stuff.

I had no trouble with these folks and would recommend their product and their service to anyone I know.

I also had great customer service from them. I managed to pull a wire out of one of the waterproof connectors and they sent me a whole new harness at no charge.
