I ordered a Carbtune Pro on the 18th and it was delivered today in Mercer Island, WA. 7 days is a better delivery time than some vendors based here in the USA that I have dealt with.

Bike goes in this weekend for its 26000 mile valve check so the first rainy weekend afterwards will see me checking the current synchronization and adjusting as necessary.

I think I need to get one myself as I'm new to the FJR. Did you order it directly from cartune.com?

Any other tools I need to get from cartune.com while I'm at it? (do I need those special 90 deg screwdriver or something?)

Thanks!

You won't need anything else. Just don't forget to install the four line restrictors in the tubing.

Ordered direct from Morgan Carbtune https://www.carbtune.com/

A short length of clear tubing and four lengths of black rubber tubing come with the tool. You cut the clear tube into four equal lengths with a utility knife or other sharp knife to make the restrictors/dampers. Then cut about four inches off one end of each of the 1 meter black rubber hose.and use the short lengths of tubing to join the four inch pieces to the remaining lengths of black rubber hose. Easy to follow instructions with pictures are provided. The pictures make it pretty easy which is a good thing in my case.

When I opened the plastic shipping pouch a number of small, clear beads were loose inside. I spent several anxious minutes picking them up off the floor before realizing that they were from the dessicant pack included with the shipment and not part of the tool

Why wait for a rainy weekend. It is so easy to do I can have one done in less than 45 minutes and that is removing and re installing the tank too.

Is that before or after you got the block off plates?

When it is not raining I am generally out on the road somewhere so most of my maintenance/modification tasks are accomplished during periods of inclement weather. Lots of that here in the PNW, about 6 months generally so plenty of opportunities for non-riding entertainment.
