I likes to ride!
Just when it starts to dry out and get warm, it snows again! We had 14" on Tuesday and then is was snowing again yesterday and again today. ENOUGH ALREADY!
I was thinking the same thing.Sorry. No sympathy whatsoever for anyone who lives in Telluride. Most beautiful place I have ever been.
I was in Silverton on Sunday night planning on riding up north and going east on 50(?). The weather forecast and the flurries Monday morning made me change my plans and head back south to Durango. and then east. I hope to get back in the area again! These are a few shots from Sunday.Just when it starts to dry out and get warm, it snows again! We had 14" on Tuesday and then is was snowing again yesterday and again today. ENOUGH ALREADY!
Yeah, Wheatie PMd me asking about road conditions a couple days ago, after I made a comment somewhere else about Colorado mountain weather. Looks like they have a couple of "Icy spots" on their path, hopefully they make it through safely: https://cotrip.org/roadConditions.htmGood luck to Wheatie and Airboss, who just pulled in for the night a few miles north of Denver after about 1,000 miles. Sweet timing, huh? :dribble: Now for the Rockies.
Ya bastages. Food bearing bastages, but bastages nonetheless. The Cascades was one of the highlights of my trip. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if I had to choose one road to ride the rest of my days on, the Cascades between Marblemount and Winthrop would get really serious consideration. Then their was running down beside the Sawtooth range.. and Torrey to Zion, and the Chief Joseph and Northwest Montana and ...Northern Cascade is hoping for a Memorial Day opening.
How lucky are we to live where we do?
