Just when it starts to dry out and get warm, it snows again! We had 14" on Tuesday and then is was snowing again yesterday and again today. ENOUGH ALREADY!

Yamaha does make excellent snowmobiles :p

Sorry to hear about your little ice age. It's unusual for someone so much farther south from us to have worse weather. Altitude is not your friend.

Its a really far SOUTH 9000' feet, kinda like 115 in Arizona is a "dry heat". Either way its really high or really hot.

Sorry. No sympathy whatsoever for anyone who lives in Telluride. Most beautiful place I have ever been.

I was in Silverton on Sunday night planning on riding up north and going east on 50(?). The weather forecast and the flurries Monday morning made me change my plans and head back south to Durango. and then east. I hope to get back in the area again! These are a few shots from Sunday.

Good luck to Wheatie and Airboss, who just pulled in for the night a few miles north of Denver after about 1,000 miles. Sweet timing, huh? :dribble: Now for the Rockies.

Yeah, Wheatie PMd me asking about road conditions a couple days ago, after I made a comment somewhere else about Colorado mountain weather. Looks like they have a couple of "Icy spots" on their path, hopefully they make it through safely: https://cotrip.org/roadConditions.htm

Hopefully, your back yard will look in another month like it did last year, when I was there.

And Independence Pass will be open too. I say hopefully, because I plan to ride over it again next month.

Independence Pass is my favorite pass in the state! Cant wait till it opens.

Great video Dave, my wife will surely want to go to ND instead of Kaui with this video add, probably a bit cheaper too!

The weather warmed up today so I did a nice sunday ride out to Gateway and back CO-145 and CO-141. I stopped at the Hanging Flume turnout for a pic

Northern Cascade is hoping for a Memorial Day opening.

How lucky are we to live where we do?
Ya bastages. Food bearing bastages, but bastages nonetheless. The Cascades was one of the highlights of my trip. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if I had to choose one road to ride the rest of my days on, the Cascades between Marblemount and Winthrop would get really serious consideration. Then their was running down beside the Sawtooth range.. and Torrey to Zion, and the Chief Joseph and Northwest Montana and ...

Wait a second.. they're all connected!! They're ALL ONE ROAD! SWEET!

We are supposed to get an inch of rain here in the Metro ares over the next three days. We did have a nice easy winter around here though! Hopefully this will prevent more of the early fires we've been having this year.

Thoughts on Mother Nature;

She's getting a little old, and is going through menopause. So she's having hot flashes, and needs to cool down. Hence, at least here in Minnesota (and sounds like at high elevations, too), she made winter last until about 2 weeks ago. I hope we get a good long summer to make up for it. Global warming, my ***.

On that note, we're not hearing too much from Al Gore about that lately.....

She is being a bit touchy I agree - a little sand in the vag possibly? Had an outdoor game last night and it pissed down rain all night like it was January! Have my annual wHORE Tour ride to South Lake Tahoe (and around - hopefully we won't be dealing with weird road issues) this weekend and things will be a little chilly at times. Oh well, it will be hot here before I know it!
