Have been wondering about these gloves and just wanted to try and get some feedback on the Moto Port racing gloves. Anyone tried these and if so what do you think? Appreciate any help. PM. <><

I'd like a pair but times are a little tough.

Need new tires so the money will go there.

Eventually I will get a pair though.

Great. I'm also interested in these since I have motoport jacket and pants and love them. Didn't know when they'd come out with a glove. I hope the fit is good. Anyone try them?!? Generally, the hard plastic on the outside of other gloves bothers me.

I have a pair of these gloves that I purchased with the whole Kevlar suit. I like the gloves as much as the rest of the suit. I got the gloves at half price when I bought the suit. They are comfortable, but in the South Florida heat, everything is hot!

Like sirryan I too don't really like the hard armor on a glove and was wondering if these are cool enough to wear in the heat as it can and does get over 100 in Northern Ca. but doesn't sound like it according to Slick. Annnnnnnnnnnd, if they have liners for wearing with the rest of the gear in the rain. I think ToeCutter had bought a pair of these but he's probablly still recouping from NAFO. Thanks for the replies so far. PM. <>< ;)

I have a pair of these gloves coming. I have tried on a pair that a friend of mine ordered. They are nice gloves. We are going on a week lon ride in a couple of weeks. I will let you know how they do.

Gloves do seem to behave differently on different bikes. I have a pair of Alpine Star racing gloves without the guantlet feature. They are armoured at the knuckles, and they have a web to tie the pinky and ring finger together.

I like them on some bikes, but they really hurt my hands on the FJR. I think its the angle and diameter of the FJR grips. I'm more comfortable on the FJR with good touring style riding gloves, like Helds.

Well, thanks a bunch PM. I'm now 130 smackers lighter in the pocketbook. Hopefully I'll get them by the end of the week and will post up after I've had time to put some miles on them. I did ask Wayne if they would be getting these in any other colors (thinking that black would be quite hot and I'm generally after a cool rather than warm) and he said that they'd have to order too large a number of gloves to get assorted colors for now.

I have been using these gloves for six months or so now. The gloves are comfortable down to low 50s. My high temps in the gloves have been around 100 and they were no more uncomfortable then other gloves I have used.

I have two complaints.

1) The liner seems to stick to my skin when putting them on during a hot day. It makes it a little harder to put the gloves on.

2) The stretch Kevlar want to return to normal resting position while wearing them. So, when gripping the handle bars my fingers want to straighten out a bit. At first my hands would get sore on long trips, however I don't notice it now.

If, I was in the market for gloves I would by these gloves again.

Sylvia and I both bought these gloves when we picked up our Motoport gear last Fall. Not too many miles accumulated so far, but they are comfortable as noted above, and I believe their protection to be second to none. AT(K)GATT!

Thanks guys for the replies. I reviewed the description on the gloves again and it says they have a TPU Ram-Air feature on the knuckles that could help with cooling. Kinda like a 440 Hemi I presume....but l still like these gloves but would be nice to check them out in the flesh. Maybe I'll wait for the next run of FeeJays around here and someone might have a pair to check out. I do know coming from Wayne though they have to be quality. Take care, PM. <>< :D

Well, it took a while, but I finally have seen these gloves in action. Here's the rest of the story.

Ordered a pair from Wayne and sent him diagrams of my hands for sizing. He sent out a pair of XXL gloves and when I got them, I thought damn these are small. Turns out, the receipt said xxl, the packaging said xxl and the gloves said medium. They were probably mis-packaged from the factory. Called Wayne and he immediately sent out another pair. Always great service.

Fast forward another week and I get the xxl. I like the way that the gloves are made. They are not as bulky as I expected, especially for a gauntlet style glove. Also, the armor seems to be unobtrusive to comfort. They fit very nicely under the cuffs of my air mesh jacket. Airflow is pretty good and they seem to flow much more air than my leathers. Hold your hand out away from the bike and it becomes very apparent.

Fit is the only problem at this point. I have a tendency to be uncomfortable in riding gloves and what I've found with these is that the xxl is a little long for me in the fingers and a little short in the thumb. I'm not sure if an xl will fix that (will call Wayne) but I think part of the problem may be that the fingers have a gusset around the outsides of the fingers and the thumb is sewn flat with two panels sandwiched together.

The grip on my grip puppies is less sticky than leather, but still very nice for my taste. I hope that I can get a comfortable fit out of the xl gloves, because I like everything else about them.

History: My wife and I have full motoport gear and are very happy with it. Hopefully we can get a good fit on these gloves.

I was wondering if these would fit over the outside of my Cycleport mesh jacket, as the gauntlets looked kinda small when I first saw them. Sounds like not?

Would be a challenge to get them over the outside of the jacket. At least on my air mesh, the cuffs are substantial and would need a larger gauntlet.

Sorry to hear these gloves don't fit over the Cycle-Port cuffs. The cuffs on my mesh jacket are somewhat bulky and other gauntlet gloves don't fit over the cuffs well. I would have to see a pair of these first before I fork out the dough. IMO it would seem that a wider opening/velcro flap on the gauntlet would alieviate this issue. I would like a pair if they fit over the cuff. PM. <>< :unknw:

My Held Steve gloves fit over my Air Mesh cuffs, so I guess I'll have to stick with them for now. Bummer. Need the sleeve end tucked to deflect the stinging critters that can kill me.

I bought them a month or two ago. They take some getting used to but the protection is unmatched. I can get them over the cuffs of my Ultra II jacket - it just takes a little extra effort.

Overall, I'm happy with them.
