<edit> The training wheels, not the MotoBike Jack. I could have used the Jack on a few of my FJR drops.

The K1200LT really is a lead weight (IMNSHO) but the demo is relevant - drop in at 7:03 unless you also own an LT.
It does help to go over on the right side, to let the side stand catch the bike instead of going ...um... over the top. So embarrassing to do two drops back to back.
FWIW, I lost my '03 K1200RS to [/ many expletives deleted] who dropped the bike hard and cracked the tupperware big time. Being an '03, the cost to repair was double book value. The cost was based on DIY work except for the paint. The point being: if the bike's about to go, do anything possible to slow the drop. DAMHIK
BTW nothing for the police to do about the asshats who dropped the bike.

Those videos are on dry level pavement.
Wait until you drop your FJR on dirt or wet pavement, especially with the wheels uphill. Your attitude will change quickly.
<edit, next day> Ask around. There are several FJR Forum members who have strained muscles/tendons/ligaments attempting to stop the big girl from falling. I haven't hurt myself that way -- yet -- but already know there's a point of no return, where the bike's going down if you're anyone other than Rocky Balboa.

OK, that doesn't work for every situation. NTL it does work for a lot of situations. That's better than nothing. Or carrying around one more piece of gear instead of whatever's needed to just enjoy the ride.
