With Rossi winning again and Nicky taking the runner up spot, Nicky can't play prevent defense much longer. He has a 29 point lead on Rossi, but, that can shrink quickly with 1st place getting 25 points, 2nd place getting 20 points, and 3rd place getting 16 points.

Nasty crash at the start!!!! Not a lot of races won in the first corner (unless you're in F1), but, many races are lost there.

I hope Melandri and Capirossi are alright. I like Melandri, he's a good rider.

I think Rossi is still thumbing his nose & sticking his point to Honda....& as Hayden said....Rossi was just playing with him @ the end of the race.....like him (Rossi) or hate him....he is one very talented young man...

as i've heard/read

Gibernau - concussion and broken collarbone

Capirossi - no broken bones - just battered and bruised with abdominal contusions

Melandri - dislocated acromion-clavicular (whatever that is) and minor concussion

Wierd situation...Capirossi had no broken bones, but, was airlifted to the hospital as he seemed to be really banged up at the scene. Gibernau had a concussion and a broken collarbone and will require surgery, but, was taken to the hospital by ambulance. On the way to the hospital, the ambulance was involved in a fender-bender with a bus. Talk about a ****** day.

Randt I read that cappi had chest swelling that's why they airlifted him....
