Rossi went down in the first turn of the first lap this year. Glad to see someone other than Rossi win. Kinda ironic when you take into account what happened with him and Gibernau, doncha think?

why did Rossi drop then pickup the left foot prior to banging? simplly outta control? Pushing too hard?

Hard to say...almost looks like he missed the shift lever or footpeg.

If you watch the full `05 season, you'll find that a common move by the Doctor. Musta picked it up from his flat track experiemce...

I think you're going to see Rossi eat some more asphalt this year. He pulled that same move, using the outside rider as his banking, a few times last year. This year there's a brace of new guys, and already in race 1 he found that they won't just make room when he barges in. Will make an interesting season.

<preface>---I'm not a Rossi fan

I think race 1 was a fluke. Had he not crashed in oil on his out lap in qualifying, I think he would have qualified better than 9th which would have had him out of that mess. Besides...the crash wasn't a result of his barging in - a rider went down and took Rossi with him.
