Motorcycle Rental in Mexico?

We are headed to Tulum at the end of January. Has anyone had any experience renting bikes in the Cozumel/Cancun/Tulum area?

Real bikes, not scooters.

Any real world experience?

Never rented, but, I do remember there was an Eagle Rider rental location right in the hotel zone in Cancun.

My Daughter rented a scooter on a vacation in Cancun.

Two things she said to look out for.

1. Beware of dead cows in the middle of the road.

2. only the tourist know what ALTO means.

There was a bike rental, likely Eagle Rider, in Cozumel.

But man, scooters are EVERYWHERE, and only $20/day.

You're really going to stick out ( can you say "Tourist" )

on a motorcycle.

Besides, places like Cozumel aren't very big. There's

no place you couldn't get to on a scooter.

I've been to Cancun, Cozumel (which is an island, and you can't transport a car/motorcycle on the ferry)) and Playa del Carmen several times. Tulum is a little south, and if you're planning on riding a motorcycle down Mexico 307, I would advise against it. I wouldn't drive a car or motorcycle down there. Those shuttle ,taxi and truck drivers are fucking crazy. Just take the tour bus
