IDK whether to laff or cry. My buddy, strictly a car guy, had kindly listened to me for the past couple months, and was curious. And a being decent, generous, sensible fellow, looked on YouTube and just typed in a simple question about FJR brake lights not working...

Fifteen minutes later my brake lights are fine and the temp gauge back to normal.

of course I still have to reinstall my aftermarket flashing brake lights, my running lights, and my charger pigtail...and the side panel they broke at the dealership. But other than that and the $320 I spent for seven weeks of storage in August and September, I've only missed about half the riding season and we've had our first frost, but other than all that...

Was the brake light switch recall not done on your bike? That was an early suggestion in the original thread.
Glad it is sorted out and I was sure it was a simple problem. (Sometimes the most frustrating sort.)

Gene,

It would have been SO MUCH BETTER if you would have added this follow up to the end of the previous thread that has all the history leading up to this revelation. Might ask the moderators to merge this onto the end of the original thread.

Oh. I didn't realize and last night after I came back in the house SMFH, I was sorta not wanting to post something at the bottom of the original. I knew several guys were interested, but last night as I typed I was still thinking of it as "my" problem. But this morning it's obv that lotsa guys could have this same issue. Anyway thanx for the good advice on the post!

No idea. I'm the second owner and I'd thought the recall was on part of the harness. But yeah. Pretty frustrating. As my dad would've said when we got it back together and functioning properly, "I didn't know whether to s__t or go blind." But instead of either of those options, I'm gonna go ride and be grateful.
