I was getting up to 43 MPG on road trips with an average of 40 around town on my bike. Since lubing the axles, changing the tires and replacing plugs along with a TBS my mileage jumped to 48 MPG on the road! That was a day trip through the local twisty roads having fun. I am very happy to see the increase which will be nice on my trip to the Grand Canyon. Next up on my maintenance list is to replace the fork oil and maybe replace the springs with a better kit. Have to finish making the pipe stand so I get that done along with making the socket needed.

I suspect that the increased mileage is more a function of the terrain and type of riding than an effect of the routine maintenance stuff. The possible exception is the spark plugs but only if they were in pretty dreadful condition before the change.

I was getting around 43-44. Down to a pretty consistent average of 41mpg mixed riding. Didn't change with new rubber, but I didn't expect it to.
