for you Sac & Bay Area guys and gals - you're probably familiar with Mt. Tamalpias:

i was surprised at the elevation - seemingly much higher than the view from Berkeley.

Wonderful views... I've lived in the Bay Area my entire life but never had been to the top of Mt. Tam until I got a motorcycle!

Not to be a neat-nik or anything, but it's Mt. Tamalpais, or Mt. Tam for short. And a very cool place to visit.

Wow, that it great. A SFBA native every April 1 and Nov1 I would go to the top of Mt. Tam and contemplate the state of the Universe. In reality it was the date of "off with the Winter gear!" or on with the Winter gear!" Sort of my biking seasonal change. Really nice pics, I will have to dig around if I have some from the '70's or so on my Honda CB of pretty much the same view and post them.

Thanks for posting those beautiful views.They bring back some good memories...when I first bought my FJR I took an eight week trip that included about four weeks in northern California.Mt Tam and and highway one was a blast.Thanks again.
