Not at that point. About 1 hr later, after the wicked steep climb up the stairs and the altitude caught up with Jeff, we met the ABDOMINAL Asheman. FEED ME. FEED ME. We headed straight down hill toward Gorham for the first food establishment that didn’t have a FDA warning sign

Great pics and report. Mt Washington is one of my favorite hikes. I have never ridden on the auto road and always wondered what it looked like.

Wow! When I was a kid spending the summer at Camp Mendota in Maine, a bunch of us got to climb Mt. Washington. Thanks for for sharing.

If you look at some of the pictures that show the road you will see grooving in the pavement that *just happens* to match the treads on this beast.

Hello All, and thanks for the great pics and comments. We just returned home this morning around 01:00. Braved the dark of night and the rush of Bambi, to finish out 300 miles from Grumpy's house. The front tire was well below wear bars in Lewisburg WV, so we made a slight change of course and stole a new Michelin PR2 from Grumpy along the way.

We have about 200 photos and some pretty cool video of Niagara Falls etc. to sort through, so I won't bother posting pics just yet. Give us a day to unpack, sleep and drink, and then we'll post something more organized.

Again, a [SIZE=14pt]BIG THANK YOU [/SIZE]to MartyA, Sally, FJRed, Grace, Ionbeam, Helen, Spklbuk, Grumpy and SnowWhite for making an awesome trip... simply MAGNIFICENT!!!
