I rode my FJR up Pike's Peak in 2008 during NAFO. There is no way I would do that at speed. Too many places with very little room for error and a long, long drop.

Greg, I hear you loud and clear my Brother. I rode my 1996 BMW R1100GS up Pike's Peak in 1999 and all I could think of is if I missed a corner: How damn far down it was to the very bottom!
Mark, that's amazing the Ducati Multistrada 1200S took both first and third places in the Pikes Peak Race. There have been long entrenched factory teams that have not done this well in this event.

Very impressive for the Multistrada to do as well as it did, stock out of the box. I was very impessed when I test rode it, just on the slab and city streets.
Beemerdons, I bet your wishing it was Dec. already...at least you won't have to wait for any snow or ice to melt, like some of our northern brothers...
