Which is your pick and why?
GSXR 1000 k6 or k7 :clapping: Fastest, most comfortable, best handling, less expensive. but to answer your real question.

If you are speaking of the R1 LE as in the 500 made variety I'd go with that. Long term value is excellent due to its low production numbers, with all the goodies like the like the wheels, it should leave a stock R1 in the dust. Yamaha reliability is a good point as well. I just don't trust that aspect of Italian bikes. If you speaking of the R1 with the limited edition paint scheme but isn't one of the real LEs then the answer is VERY different.

To this query (and your previous one with the 'Priller) -- the MV Agusta, in both cases.

Why? The cache; the history/pedigree; the Ferarri engineering; good looks and performance. Okay, the other two may have those last two features -- and, nothing aginst the Tuono or the R-1 LE either.

But, an MV is ...well, an MV.

MV. If only to put it on a turntable in the living room and watch it go around and around. And maybe start it up on weekends....I doubt my, er, "amole" size and long legs would be able to fit that bike and I seriously doubt my ability to extract 20% of the bikes capabilities.

What a piece of eye and ear candy!

This was my toughest moto decision yet. The price was very attractive on the R1LE ($14k with less than 100 miles and it's a real LE). I did the deal on the LE cuz the price was too good to pass up. I woke up the next morning with a hard-on thinking about the MV, so I cancelled the LE and bought the MV. Not exactly a rational decision.

Fast forward, I've never ridden a bike like this. Obviously the cache and *** appeal are unrivaled (in my view), but the performance was, well, amazing. Rock solid handling and smooth-as-silk power (seemingly endless). And the model I bought is several steps removed from their state-of-the-art ('05 F4 1000S). Off to the chiropracter now.

The beemer is on eBay now and I'm a happy boy!

A low mileage R1LE for that price is very tempting. Glad I didn't see that anywhere near where I live. I know my back couldn't handle it, nor could my bank account right now, but still..... very tempting.

I'm often reminded that a post without pics is like a day without... well, you know what I mean. AND, I want Skooter to know that I didn't buy a Vespa, although Fast by Ferracci sells them. Here's a few to wet the appetite...

Not sure I'm technically savvy enough to record and post a sound bite. Dealers? Heck, I went to Italy to pick it up.

Actually there are more dealers than I expected. I think there are about five within 4 hours of me in central Joisey. Fast by Ferracci is an hour away. But there are some holes in the country. I think the only one in the Nortwest is in Portland.

Damn..... :dribble: That about sums it up.

What do you do for a living? You must be pullin the big bucks!

Just kidding about Italy. I bought it at Fast by Ferracci...a dealer in PA about 70 minutes from where I live. ;-)

Dude, congrats on the F4....great bike. I've got the 750.... yeah, chiropractor required for sure!

have a look at mvagusta.net to find some other folks in your area.... unfortunately I've left NYC, so no longer 'around' there.

later.
