Not good to see at all. :( On the bright side, at least you CAN cuss about it.
What is the 30 number on the display? Is that an error code for tipover?

Do you remember how fast you were travelling into the turn?

I think i was going about 30 ish. Not sure what the 30 on the display was its gone now..

JD

We can rebuild her, Better, Stronger , Faster....uh i mean slower.. :clapping:

Sorry to hear about the crash, but glad you're OK.

Guess Gary will be sending us both repair parts this summer.

Good luck and take care...

Not sure if you beleave in this stuff butt, My Guardian angel was with me on this one. Check out the flash in TWN mirror just prior to the crash ;)

After listening to the video, it sounds like there is a wheel lockup before leaving the highway, hard to tell if its both front and/or rear. It's not easy to tell how upright the bike is while you crossed the highway, but the rear seems to slide away to the left?

Do you think ABS might have helped you?

Jdog,

You walked away from it - Thank God for that.

Giter fixed - and back in the saddle.

And take a can of Raid on your next ride. :D

Damn that happened fast. Glad you found a soft landing area. Around here it's usually an armco rail... and I'd be having a chat with my guardian angel. Glad you're okay.

WHOLE EEEEEEE ****!!!!!!

Glad your physically OK

Your bike will be, as you said better, stronger, faster in no time at all.

Your wreck gave me goosebumps because i have had close calls like that, But if i do end up crashing, It will not be pretty for me.

Missouri and Arkansas has some of the best roads around, But they are dangerous! Solid rock walls on alot of the corners and lots of trees!

Heal up soon Jdog, And i hope to see you at WFO.

Sky, judging from the skid marks, he locked up the rear and got her dirt tracking sideways like. The front also left a skid mark, but only after he got it sideways - the bike seemed to wind up sliding parallel into the road's edge. That's when both wheels hit the dirt berm and flipped him off. Dizzat makes sense?

IMO, ABS wouldn't have helped a darn, in this case.

yep rear wheel lock and slide like a dirt track slide till i hit all soft dirt bike dug in and over we went. I do have ABS but in to that turn no way to sharp.

Sorry to hear (see) about the get-off. Glad you're ok.

Don't know about the rest of you, but tales like this make me think a little more about what might happen while I'm riding.

I don't know how those cruiser guys can hack it with their biker lids and no windscreens.
1st,... cruiser guys can't go real fast, cause they can't see with their eyes watering & the half shell lids lifting up & cutting off their air supply.....2nd.... how can you corner on square tires with whitewalls  .....

Didn't know you were a harley hater, mikeh. That's ok....as for the handling....I only leaned my rat over so far as to scrape the pipes.

Us cruiser guys just grin and bear it.
Grin and chew them?v  :p :p

Only if I am hungry enough.
Don't hate any bike ....grew up with Harley's, Triumphs, BSA's, & Indians....not including Hodaka's, Jawa's, Bultacos, Can Am's, & the usual assortment of Jap bikes....me Da was a collector....like them all,...just love to tease....cast the line,....hook the fish.... ;)

Well, damnit...that was bait...but I only nibbled....do I get credit for that?
