Hey JDog, I told you "if you post, they would view"...

Digi-pics are nice but to capture this type of action in full pucker mode from "birds eye view" is compelling.

Well my estimate for the repair is in :(

$4205.98

Lets getter done

Not as bad as I thought it was gonna be. Get your parts list together (pull the numbers off the Yammy site) and order 'em up from Gary @ University. Have cold beer in the frig for when I get there!

Glad you're OK.

It can happen any time. Following a truck and a huge bang! JC --- dodge 1000 pieces of tire flying through the air! Like now! Dam I hate it when that happens.

Ya never know when you are going to be hit by the **** stick.

A little closer and run over razor blades and lose tires. That is how sharp some of those tire shards are.

Damn, Jdog :angry2:

Even allowing for TWN's cut, $4,205.98 is a lot more than I'd figured. Sorry bro.

I've always been surprised that there isn't a larger aftermarket for motorcycle body parts. Considering how much they are charging I would think that a plastics company could make quality parts and still make good money undercutting the manufacturers.

Anybody know of any good aftermarket stuff? If might even be kind of cool to get a set that looks a little different than stock. Sort of a custom look.

They have them for the sport bikes, I doubt there are enough FJRs sold for anyone to make it for us.

Glad your ok man.... cool vid though... gland you can laugh about it...well maybe not quite yet
Cheers

Oh yeah we are laughing about it now every time i watch the video,, It was a well scripted movie..lol

Sorry about the crash, glad you're not hurt. I've done it twice in my day. One wreck virtually identical to yours and the other I totaled a bike when I endoed doing about 70. Long story short was this, I was used to my ABS equipped FJ1200 and I was on my buddies ninja 600 with no ABS. (nuff said?)

In both cases, I'll be the first to admit, that I Fu(ked up. I call a spade a spade and I'm not going to make any excuses about it. I try to keep it real with myself.

One question that I can't believe nobody else brought up yet after watching the video.... How did that big bug get through your closed visor?

**** happins, but i probably will still not put the visor down, I will just keep wearing the sunglasses.

Im changing to a Cee Bailey flip top windshield, I hope that helps a bit. I cant ride with it down i get to stuffy and my ******* nose start itching. Go figure. Any hoot i should ride with it down but i wont, hard to teach an old dog new tricks ;)

That's what my wife said when I showed her the video. And I was like, no, it was up, that's how the bug hit him. And she's like, but the first thing he does when he gets to the bike is flip the shield up. And I was like, but it was up when the bug hit him. And she was like, so he closed it to climb back up the hill? And I was like, moto wrecks are complicated, you wouldn't understand.

I'm still cut off.

ok THE VISOR ISSUE, It is about time someone notice my visor down. It came down when i made my Pete Rose slide down the hill my face slamd in to my arms will sliding, and thats when it came down..

fatter of fact when i got home about 2 hours later i still had bug part im my eye brow, and corners of my eye.
